BABY HAPUM: I am excited to explore more modders from different cultures who are creating super cool custom content. I personally love exploring different traditions. It is just beautiful and unique. There are many modders who create amazing stuff such as clothes, snacks, decorations. They help people learn about new worlds through the game and I'm so excited to discover their Mods through this new platform.

HEYHARRIE: I can't pick because there are so many amazing creators involved, but I'm really most excited for the community members that will get to discover custom content for the first time via this new platform.

There are a couple of AxA collaboration packs on this list because the content is so beautiful and extremely trendy. This AxA 2019 collaboration includes some really gorgeous custom content items including tank tops, skirts, graphic tees, and a bunch of hairs.

However, the clothes are where this pack shines for me. As you can see you get a gorgeous dress for teen to elder sims, an adorable outfit for toddlers, and options for kids. This pack includes over 170 items which is an insane amount of custom content to get your hands on with just one click.

Sometimes the most effective creations of custom content are just when a creator recolors items that we got in the base game so they can be more versatile and used on more sims and give you a lot more options.

The best thing about getting custom content is just how unique the pieces are, they are so different from anything we ever get from EA and can be super trendy and up to date. The solstice collection is a great example of this with some really great see-through feminine shirts with a small white bra underneath.

One thing we loved was that we could stack display tables as high as we wanted and that they had lots of slots to display the items. Being able to snap different objects to the clothing racks really let us give the space a varied look. We liked that we could stack shoes on top of the decorative boxes, as well as stack boxes on top of each other. This Sims 4 custom content set looks very realistic and professional.

Most custom content (for items like clothing and objects) and mods will use the .package file extension. These require no formal installation and simply need to be placed within the mods folder or a relevant subfolder within that for them to work.

Many players of The Sims 4 choose to enhance their game with custom content. Created by fans, custom content, or CC as it's often known, is a free way to add new clothing, hairstyles, furniture, and more to your game. However, while The Sims team are supporters of custom content, none of it is officially endorsed or supported, meaning you can run into issues.

In this guide, we take a look at everything you need to know to enter the addictive world of CC. We'll include where to find the most reliable places to download quality custom content, how to install it, and how to avoid some common problems.

There are several ways to get reliable custom content, such as the eyebrows and eyelashes above by Bobur. The easiest way is through well-known custom content specific sites or searches. Another way is through the creators' own sites. Here are our recommendations to get you started.

The Sims Resource, or TSR as it's more commonly known, is a huge catalog of custom content. It contains a search function and filters as well as a huge range of curated artists, whose work is exceptional. If you are looking for a one-stop-shop to pick up some CC to get you started then TSR is worth a visit.

Most custom content, like the creations above by MagicHand, is very easy to install. You simply need to find the correct location for your game files. By default, this will be either of these two options.

We recommend backing up the Mods, saves, and Tray files. This will ensure you keep all your library builds and save games as well as your custom content and mods. Backing these up frequently is recommended even if you don't use CC, to ensure that if anything becomes corrupt you don't lose all your progress.

Once the patch is installed we recommend running the game with an empty mods folder to begin with, so you can check that it's stable. You can also use this time to go into the options menu, select game options then other, and tick the enable custom content box.

It is best to approach any Sims 4 custom content steadily. Each designer has made content independently with specific expansion and stuff packs in mind. Loading in dozens or hundreds of files all at once could create conflicts or errors. It is much safer to install one package at a time, test it out in-game, and then add the next.

Some larger custom content files may be compressed into common file formats like ZIP or RAR. Unfortunately, the game cannot always directly read these files and require the custom content in Sims 4 to be extracted. Windows typically includes a default automatic program to do this. For Mac users, an additional app like Unarchiver may be needed from the Mac App Store.

An important aspect is where to even get Sims 4 custom content. Sims franchise designers have been around for over 20 years, resulting in several major hubs. For example, Mod the Sims and The Sims Resource are two of the largest websites dedicated to Sims 4 modifications.

Most Sims 4 custom content should function right away. By default, custom content will be marked with a blue wrench icon in the upper left corner. However, more complex content might alter this icon or re-balance other aspects of the game. If, for some reason, the game starts behaving strangely or begins having sudden glitches, disabling custom content may be the solution.

I would love to see a tutorial about how you organize your custom content. I have some and I want more but I know I will throw it all together and it will be a mess. Thanks and love your channel.Justwright62
